Apple will launch iPhone XE with 4.8inch OLED display this year

Apple launched the iPhone SE back in the year 2016. The smartphone became one of the best compact devices of that time. But from then Apple has been long awaited to launch its successor. Now recent reports claim that Apple is finally ready launch its successor called the iPhone XE, the launch is imminent later this year.

The Apple iPhone XE is reported to come with significant improvements from the iPhone SE. The phone will reportedly feature an edge to edge OLED display, Face ID, and Apple’s own A12 Bionic processor. Similar to the iPhone SE, the iPhone XE is expected to be a compact smartphone that would be made for buyers who prefers a handy phone than large screen ones.

Reports claim that the smartphone will feature a 4.8 inch OLED display with a wide notch and minimal bezels. The notch will feature the components used for FaceID, different sensors, earpiece and selfie camera. iPhone XE will run on the current 7nm Apple A12 Bionic SoC. It is also present on the iPhone XS, XS Max and the iPhone XR.

In terms of optics, a single rear camera is expected similar to iPhone XR. This may be an f/1.8 aperture equipped 12MP sensor last seen in the iPhone XR and for selfies, a 7MP camera is expected to be housed in the notch on top of the display. While price and availability of the device has not been confirmed yet.
