All the Apple fans and tech enthusiasts have set their eyes on the upcoming 2020 iPhone 12 series. Currently the latest smartphones by the Cupertino giant are iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The next year's iPhone 12 line up will be the first from Apple to support 5G connectivity.
The iPhone 12 series is expected to come in the same order as the iPhone 11 lineup. Analysts suggests that there will be a 5.4 inch display variant, a 6.1 inch variant and a larger 6.7 inch variant. The 5.4 inch and 6.7 inch variants will support 5G connectivity while the 6.1 inch variant will be the cheapest among all like the iPhone XR and iPhone 11.
All three phones are expected to feature OLED display panels. Reports suggests that the iPhone 12 models will not sport any kind of notch and Apple will probably opt for some different approach regarding the front camera and sensors. The iPhone 12 lineup is also expected to boast in-display Touch ID.

In terms of camera and photography, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are expected to feature triple rear camera setups just like the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. There is a possibility that Apple adds a ToF sensor in the two premium iPhone 12 models so they will become the first from Apple to feature quad camera setups.
Apple is also working on periscope like telephoto lens that will make its way to the iPhone 12 lineup. On the other hand, Sony has begun teasing its upcoming flagship IMX686 image sensor, which could make it into the iPhone 12. The camera sensors installed in all three iPhone 11 models are also manufactured by Sony.
If you are wondering when the iPhone 12 lineup is going to arrive, Apple usually launches it's yearly iPhone upgrades every fall. The iPhone 11 lineup debuted on 10th of September this year, so we have to wait till the September 2020 before getting our hands on the device.
There is a possibility that Apple would go for an earlier launch in 2020 to avoid losing too much to the competitors who’ve already come out with 5G ready smartphones. The above information is mere rumours, speculations and reports by industry insiders so we should take them with a grain of salt until the company officially announces or reveals something.
