Huawei’s sub brand Honor has a huge potential buyer and fan base among youth. The company tries to target the young generation by catering their needs through providing good camera, bigger battery, enhanced specifications and catchy unique designs, all in a budget price tag.
Whether it is the dual texture layout on the midrange Honor 8X or the shimmery arrows on the Honor View20, the company always tries to put out something new and striking to attract the youth. Now, Honor 20 series is coming this month and Huawei’s sub brand has now revealed a few details about the upcoming smartphones.
The company says Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro will be the company’s first phones to offer a ‘multi-dimensional, Dynamic Holographic glass back’ made using ‘Triple 3D Mesh’ technology. Honor claims that it has mastered a ‘Dynamic Holographic Design’ which creates a 3D optical illusion and resembles with light entering into the ocean.
Honor is using a two-stage process to create the 3D curved glass back for this holographic effect in the Honor 20 series. In the first stage, Honor etches millions of prisms on the surface of the back to replicate the reflective effect like diamonds. The etching is done at the nanometer level to create more precise cuts compared to laser cutting.
When the above process is completed, then in second stage, the company combines the layer with a glass layer and a second layer coated in the main color. The Honor 20 series launch will take place on May 21st, so we have to wait until then for a more comprehensive look at the upcoming smartphones.
The firm also revealed a few more details about the device. The series will have a 6.26 inch display with a 91.6% screen to body ratio and a punch hole camera measuring 4.5mm on the front. The company will be using a side mounted fingerprint scanner on the right hand side of the phones.
