Motorola showcased fan made Moto Razr concept video at a press event

Foldable smartphones are one of the most intriguing trends we’re witnessing in the smartphone industry in 2019. Samsung and Huawei currently have the lead in the developing technology. Motorola’s first smartphone with a foldable display is expected to combine new technology and a classic design.

The upcoming Motorola Razr is one of the most anticipated smartphones to come in 2019 because it involves the new trend of a foldable display with a classic flip phone concept. Lenovo held a presentation for Chinese press and a short video was showcased there.

The video shows a small screen on the outside of the Razr's clamshell case design. The phone then opens up to show a full screen that stretches from edge to edge with a notch at the top and a ridge at the bottom. However, it turns out that the video showcased at the presentation was a fan-made render of the Motorola Razr, created by YouTuber Waqar Khan.

Now it has been claimed that the video was used without its creator’s permission. The video was deliberately used with watermarks and Lenovo added its own bumper screen at the end. Now Motorola will reply on the matter. When Motorola confirmed that it was working on a foldable phone, it didn't announced any launch date but the device is expected to make a debut some time in summer this year.
