Android Pie updates continue to roll out, The Huawei sub brand's Honor Play smartphone is now getting a new update that brings along a slew of performance improvements to the smartphone. The update claims to fix the hyped GPU Turbo feature and introduced artificial image stabilisation as well. The phone is eligible for the 9.0.0.110 build that brings new Android and UI features.
The build number is COR L29C185E303R1P8B115 or COR L29C432E303R1P8B110. It brings some features like Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness, Android Dashboard which is also called Digital Wellbeing, GPU Turbo 2.0 and plenty of design improvements. There is also the standard security patch, dated October 2018.
The other device that recently started getting Android Pie update is the Xperia XZ2 by Sony. Technically, the Xperia XZ3 that Sony announced at IFA is the companys first Android Pie device, but the Xperia XZ2 is the first phone that Sony is actually updating to Android Pie.
Sonys Xperia XZ2 Android Pie update is heading out to devices as a roughly 1GB update with 52.0.A.3.27 build number. Once installed, users will see a slightly revised interface from Sonys previous skins which is a bit more in line with Googles original concept. The update also delivers the October 1st security patch and a new camera app as well. Features like Adaptive Battery and Brightness, a new screenshot editor are also included.
We can expect more smartphone manufacturers to start rolling out Android Pie updates for there devices in a couple of days.
