Honor has launched the 128GB storage variant of its Honor Play smartphone in China. The new model comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It was initially launched in two variants 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage.
The Honor Play 128GB variant is more like an upgrade of the 64GB model. Now at the same price of RMB 2,399 (approximately Rs 42,000 in Pakistan), buyers will get 6GB + 128GB variant instead of 6GB + 64GB variant. The phone will be available in three color options of Nebula Purple, Aurora Blue, and Midnight Black.
The Honor Play comes with high end specifications and features, and is meant to be both a gaming oriented smartphone as well as a performance driven device at a good price. Apart from its specifications, the Honor Play also sports GPU Turbo, a software based enhancement developed exclusively by Huawei for its smartphones.
The Honor Play comes with a large 6.3 inch Full View display with a notch present at the top, a 2340 x 1080 Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. For performance, the smartphone relies on the Kirin 970 chipset which also features a dedicated NPU for AI related activities and functions.
The phone has a dual camera setup on the back with a 16 megapixel primary camera and 2 megapixel depth lens with sensing abilities for portrait mode, along with a 16 megapixel front camera. You also get face unlock, and a fingerprint sensor at the rear of the phone for security.
