Huawei Mate X foldable 5G Phone renders leaked ahead of its launch in official banner

Samsung unveiled its first ever foldable phone earlier this week, and it looks like Huawei is going to be the next in line. Huawei teased it would show off a foldable 5G phone at MWC this year, Someone took a photo of what is allegedly promotional material, which shows a possible first look at the folding phone, and its apparent name, The Huawei Mate X.

The photo of a poster has been floating around the internet this afternoon after being shared on Twitter by a user, showing off the design of the Huawei Mate X. The device seems completely different from the Galaxy Fold, with a single screen folding over itself, rather than small screen outside and a larger screen inside.

Specifications and price details are not mentioned on the banner, although we can see that this device will pack 5G. Huawei is set to host a press conference at MWC 2019 on February 24th to unveil a bunch of new products including its foldable phone. Huawei’s poster can be seen claiming it as “the world’s fastest foldable 5G phone”.

According to various leaks, the Huawei Mate X will  feature a 7.2 inch display. Of course, there is still a whole lot we don’t know about the Huawei Mate X but we will know about the device more in coming few days at the official launch of the device at MWC. Huawei will reportedly manufacture between 24,000 and 30,000 units of the upcoming smartphone. However, it is not known in what markets the device will arrive.
