Redmi President Lu Weibing announced on Weibo on Friday that Redmi Note 7 Pro with a 48MP Sony IMX586 camera sensor is set to debut in China next week, followed by a worldwide launch.
The new Redmi Note 7 model is rumoured to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Snapdragon 675 SoC includes an octa core Kryo 675 CPU and Adreno 612 GPU. The chipset is an upgrade of Snapdragon 670.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 offers a 6.3 inch full HD+ display with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display features a water drop notch and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The smartphone is expected to have a similar design of the Redmi Note 7. While the highlight of the device is going to be its 48MP Sony IMX586 primary camera sensor placed on the back coupled with a 5MP secondary sensor. The handset boasts a 13MP camera at the front for selfies.
In display fingerprint scanner is also expected to come in the package. runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system topped with company's own MIUI 10. The device will get the power from a 4000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 support.
