There have been some rumors surrounding the Nokia 8.1 for a while now, but we may have gotten to an official confirmation. HMD Global's event is going to held at Dubai on December 5 where it will launch Nokia 7x rebranded version named Nokia 8.1.
Leaked marketing materials for a phone codenamed Phoenix but rumored to be launching as the Nokia 8.1 reveal the specs and design of the handset. "Expect more is the advertising slogan of the Nokia 8.1. Last month, HMD Global launched the Nokia X7 in China.
The leaked pictures shows a bezel below the screen and a notch at the top, while theres a fingerprint scanner and dual lens camera on the rear. The camera lenses are 12MP and 13MP, while the screen is a 6.18 inch 1080 x 2246 with a 19:9 aspect ratio.
The phone is rebranded version of Nokia X7 so we can expect the same specs for Nokia 8.1. It features an iPhone X style notch, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, 4GB RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. The phone will be powered by a 3,500 mAh battery.
Price and availability of Nokia 8.1 will be announced by the company most probably on December 6th. The phone supposedly comes in red, silver or blue and runs Android 9 Pie.
