Nokia N9 originally introduced in June 2011 was an amazing instant success, it was the first phone from the company after it left making Symbian phones. The original Nokia N9 came equipped with Meego software developed jointly by Nokia and Intel. The Device was powered by Texas Instruments' OMAP3630 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. After a few months of the launch of Nokia N9, Intel announced to abandon the Meego software which left Nokia N9 being the first and only Meego phone ever.
Now, HMD Global is trying to get back its days of glory and in the pursuit of this goal they are re introducing the Classic Nokia phones with a modern touch. The company has already launched redesigned versions of the classic Nokia 3310 and Nokia 800. The company is now rumoured to be working on a redesigned Nokia N9 to fit in the present time. The N9 already had a great influence over other Nokia Phones, for instance, the rounded Oreo camera setup found in the original Nokia N9 was recently adopted in Nokia 7.2.
A renowned designer Antony Andreas has imagined a Concept design for Nokia N9 2020, with several design elements borrowed from the original Nokia N9 but with modern functions and features. The device Antony Andreas envisioned comes with an aluminum unibody design rather than the plastic body that the original N9 was made of. The Nokia N9 2020 retains the angular edges of the original N9 but the sides are perfectly curved. The fuselage extends on the display just like the original which results in significant bezels on top and bottom.
The device has been designed in Pink Hue that gives a pleasant charm to the phone. On the back the device sports the same rounded Oreo camera setup, it features a dual lens camera setup by Zeiss along with an LED flash, while Nokia branding can be seen below the camera. The sim card tray and 3.5mm headphone jack are placed on top while Type-C charging port, speaker grills and noise cancellation can be seen on the bottom of the device. The design is not official and Nokia may go for a completely different design for the new N9 if it really gets launched.
