Samsung just called in a BIG event and unpacked some really mindboggling technologies including Samsung Galaxy Z, the next level of foldable phones and a statement gadget for trendsetters and trailblazers ushering zing around the world. You must have gone obsessed with the groundbreaking, law-molding technology by Samsung, by now. And why not? The innovative approach in Galaxy Z’s body is indeed a legit fire to greet 2020’s technology world.
The trend of Samsung to pull together hundreds of reporters, analysts and industry folks under a roof, for at least once a year, is a well-known one but this time, the Samsung-tech unpacking event rose top to a whole new level. And considering you don’t miss anything from the event, here is everything the (ever-innovative) Samsung just announced at the Unpacking Event of 2020.
The company put their latest flagship phones and accessories on display and the event was held in San Francisco on 11 February 2020 where they unpacked foldable phones, handsets with 100x zooming capacity and wirelessly-charging Galaxy Ear Buds+.
But behold, the details of these gadgets and accessories are going to drive you real ecstatic so let’s get into it at once.
Foldable phones were topping trends in the tech industry for quite some time. But this year, Samsung knocked off limitations, bringing in the Z Flip because this is not just a foldable phone, this is a PRO PHONE and why? Because Z flip does not become a tablet when unfolded like earlier Galaxy developments instead when you fold the phone, it becomes a palm-size handy gadget. And if you unfold it backward at 90-degrees, it sits like a laptop on your palm, and when you finally unfold it all the way back to 180-degrees, it stands as a clean 6.7-inch tall screen.
When you dream of folding phones in this much versatility, you are actually breaking laws of physics in your mind but Samsung just made it happen in real! This kind of foldable phone will allow you to capture selfies, video-call, and capture long-videos without needing a tripod at all! The screen display has almost zero bezels and is astonishingly clean and vibrant. The Back body of Z Flip phones has a mirrored glass suitable for transitioning colors in sunlight and lowlights, which literally makes it a style statement.
It’s predictable to bet that Galaxy Z flip is going to be a class fashion-tech trendsetter as soon as it hits the market so hold on and wait for it!
Samsung also launched Galaxy Z Flip Thom Browne Edition which comes bundled with special edition Galaxy Buds+ and Galaxy Watch Active 2.
Galaxy S20 The Samsung Galaxy S20 is launched in three variants of S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra with three different sizes of 6.2 inches, 6.7 inches, and 6.9 inches, respectively. However, all of the S20 variants have one thing in common which is, as you already predicted, its camera!
Samsung developed this series having Camera as its center of focus and increased the zooming capacity to up to 100 times. 100 TIMES!
Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra Here are the Camera features of all three S20 variants in comparison.
The fun surprise was announced in the midway of the unpacking event that the event itself, is being live recorded by the S20s which stunned the audience for its crystal-clear recording.
The S20 and S20+ will support up to 30x “Space” (digital) zoom; the S20 Ultra bumps it up to 100x. All three phones will also shoot 8K video. A feature Samsung calls “Single Take” allows you to take one short video and get multiple options to choose from in return — boomerangs, looping clips, AI-enhanced photos, etc.
The pre-orders of the S20 series will start from February 21st and the devices shall hit the shelves by February 6th, as per an announcement by the Samsung officials.
Samsung launched another special edition titled “Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G Olympic Games Athlete Edition” making it undoubtedly challenging for competitors to catch up.
Galaxy Buds+
Samsung Galaxy Buds+ may look alike Apple Air pods but the upgrade Samsung has made in the Buds+ is already leaving the air pods of Apple, very much behind. Shifting from a single driver system to a dual driver system and bumping the number of microphones up from two to three, the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ is proving its might in tech-innovation and functionality.
The Buds+ run active for 11 hours and can be wirelessly charged through PowerShare feature nested in Samsung phones which again, is a recent development of Samsung.
For more features of the Galaxy Buds, refer below.
All you need to do to charge the Buds+ with your phone is to hold the Buds+ case against the phone for 3 to 4 minutes and the power will be transferred to the Buds+ for next full hour of charge.
