Oppo is all geared up to launch its next Flagship smartphone which is yet to be given a name. Oppo revealed its 10x Lossless Zoom technology at MWC 2019. It also showcased its 5G prototype device that was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The smartphone manufacturer announced that it will launch a new device with the 10x zoom tech in Q2.
Now OPPO’s Vice President Shen Yiren has confirmed on Chinese Social Media website Weibo that that its next handset would be a flagship device that will not only come equipped with the 10x zoom tech but would also be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC. Yiren did not disclose the name of the device.
Vice president of OPPO believes that with these features, the smartphone will easily be distinguished from other Oppo’s 2019 offering. While there is no information on whether or not it will support 5G. But the Snapdragon 855 comes with Qualcomm X50 modem which supports 5G.
The prototype which was teased in MWC 2019 also featured Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 256GB of inbuilt storage, a powerful 8GB of RAM capacity and a 4065 mAh battery. There was a water drop notch and a sliding camera module. It looks like OPPO will bring similar specs and design to its Next Flagship. The device is expected to debut in the 2nd quarter of this year.
