The Pakistani rupee is experiencing a steady surge in its value against the US dollar, signifying a strengthening of its position. In a recent development, it has appreciated by Rs1.07 in comparison to the US dollar, and it is presently being traded at Rs284.65 in the official market.
Just a few days ago, the Pakistani rupee had registered a 0.36% gain against the US dollar. On Tuesday, it stood at Rs285.72 after a Rs1.04 increase. Over the past few weeks, the value of the US dollar has seen a decline of more than Rs20 in both the official and open markets. This change can be attributed to the government's efforts to curtail hoarding and smuggling of dollars.
