Realme 5i Spotted on Geekbench Listing: Confirming Key Specs Ahead of Official Launch

Realme is focusing on its widely acclaimed Realme 5 series alot, and offering slight variations in the series. Currently Realme 5, Realme 5s and Realme 5 Pro are available for retail and are being well received by the users. Now, the OPPO sub brand is all set to launch another variant of Realme 5 series called Realme 5i. The model is going to be a slightly toned down version of the original Realme 5. 

The Realme 5i was spotted on Geekbench listing with the RMX2030 model number revealing that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC and sports 4GB of RAM. The listing also reveals that the smartphone will ship with Android 9 Pie that suggests that it will likely run ColorOS 6 skin on top. The listing page suggests that the smartphone will feature a 6.52 inch LCD display. 

In terms of camera, Realme 5i will sport the same quad camera setup on the back like what we have seen in the original Realme 5 that comprises of a 12MP primary shooter, 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP dedicated macro lens. While on the front, it will boast a downgraded 8MP selfie camera. It is also said to pack a 5,000mAh battery.

The upcoming Realme 5i managed to score 1,543 and 5,602 points in Geekbench 4's single and multi-core tests respectively. It also scored 314 and 1,389 in single-core and multi-core tests on Geekbench 5. The phone will have a gradient finish which looks slightly cheaper than the diamond cut pattern of other Realme 5 series smartphones. The device is slated to officially launch on the 6th of January.
