South Korean electronics giants Samsung and LG will both reportedly unveil their first 5G smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona in February. People are expecting a whole bunch of 5G phones to launch in 2019, but it looks like Samsung and LG could be among the first to release 5G handsets.
The show will take place from February 25 to 28, but many companies make big announcements the day before it officially starts. Samsung will reveal its tenth anniversary Galaxy S smartphones at MWC, including a 5G enabled model. According to renowned tech sites, the new Galaxy S10 series will encompass a base 5.8 inch and 6.1 inch model, with a larger 6.4 inch Galaxy S10+.
Not to be left behind, LG is also said to have brought forward its 5G device in the event. Originally slated for a May 2019 launch, its handset is reported to be a version of 2018s G7 ThinQ with a 5G chipset taking 5G as an opportunity to set foots again in the smartphone market. Huawei and Oppo also promised to launch 5G enabled phones in early 2019, months ahead of 5G connectivity availability worldwide.
