Samsung recently introduced two impressive new additions to its mid range Galaxy A series lineup Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A9. While the Galaxy A7 sports a triple camera setup at the rear, the Galaxy A9 feature four rear facing cameras. Samsung seems to have another new handset for this series up its sleeve. The Galaxy A6s might arrive soon and that too only in China initially.
Its said to be Samsungs first ODM device. ODM means that Samsung will not be producing this device at its own factories. A third party would manufacture it for the company. A recent report suggested that Samsung will outsource manufacturing to Wintech, the company which makes smartphones for the likes of Xiaomi.
Ahead of its debut in China, a couple of hands on images showing the smartphone in various gradient color options have been leaked online. Galaxy A6s will be offered in Red, Blue, and Purple gradient colors, along with a traditional Black option.
Over at the front, the smartphone unsurprisingly adopts an Infinity Display. But unlike Samsungs previous devices, this particular model makes use of colored bezels which match the aluminum frame. Over the back, Galaxy A6s appears to have a dual LED flash module below the dual rear cameras. We can also spot a fingerprint sensor at the rear.
Coming to the specs of the phone, In terms of display, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A6s might pack a 5.99 inch LCD panel display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display will offer a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. While Qualcomms Snapdragon 660 is expected alongside 128GB of storage and the choice of 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. This will be coupled with a decent 3,300mAh battery and the phone will be running Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Samsungs Experience UX running on top.
In terms of optics, the Galaxy A6s will be a slight downgrade when compared to the Galaxy A6 Plus. It will sport a 12MP + 2MP dual camera setup at the rear. The smartphone will come equipped with a single 5MP snapper on the front. The device will go on sale from 24th of October.
