The LineageOS 16 is a CyanogenMod custom ROM that introduces Android 9.0 Pie firmware even on older smartphones. It is now available to the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus as well as the Galaxy S5 LTE A variants.

CyanogenMod is an open source operating system for mobile devices, based on the Android mobile platform. It was developed as a free and open source software based on the official releases of Android by Google.

If you are a Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, Galaxy S5 Plus LTE A smartphones, then the LineageOS 16 for these handsets is available for download from XDA Developers. Before installing LineageOS 16, make sure that your handsets are unlocked, with TWRP custom recovery installed. It is recommended to have Lineage OS 15.1 before installing the Lineage OS 16.
