The most commonly used instant messaging App around the Globe, WhatsApp is already far ahead than its competitors in terms of providing the best service to its users. The Facebook owned App is working continuously to improve the user experience by providing more and more features. It already supports a variety of features that users demand but there are still few that have not been incorporated by the App as of now.
An awaited feature is being tested by WhatsApp which will allow the users to use their same account on multiple devices at a time. The feature has been anticipated by the community for a long time, specially by people who own multiple devices and want to stay connected on their WhatsApp from either of their devices. The feature is in testing phase right now and has been introduced in the WhatsApp Beta version 2.20.110.
The function is simple to activate and use, it lets the users to use their WhatsApp simultaneously on their Smartphones, Tablets. The function is quite helpful when something urgent comes up and the battery of either of the devices dies, or when you carry a different device outside and use the other one in Office. The feature is not similar to WhatsApp Web, as WhatsApp Web is just an emulation of the App screen.
However, the feature may ring bells in your heads regarding the security and risks of privacy breach. WhatsApp will send a message that notifies you if a new device has been added or removed from the list of authorized and logged devices. The warning will generate changes to the platform’s encryption keys. The function is still under development and will be included in a stable update within a few months after passing multiple tests and trials.
