Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi has scheduled a Global Launch Event on July 24 in Madrid, Spain where it is expected to announce Mi A2. It has now teased this smartphone on twitter just over a week ahead of its expected launch.
Xiaomi hints at a possible telephoto lens with its latest teaser on Twitter, and it shows two lenses magnifying an object that is far away, without losing any detail. There's also another teaser that hints at the Bokeh effect and Portrait mode that is now becoming common on all new phones. It also hints at a feature that will allow you to change focus between background and foreground, depending on your preference. Another teaser hints at two colour options for the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite Pink and Blue.
However, The latest teaser doesn't reveal much other than stating that fans of the Mi A1 will love the upcoming device. Like last year's Mi A1 which was based on the Mi 5X the Mi A2 is set to be a rebrand of the Mi 6X. As such, we're likely to see a 5.99 inch FHD+ panel, Snapdragon 660, up to 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, dual 12MP + 20MP cameras, 20MP front camera, and a 3010 mAh battery.
Xiaomi also used the #2isbetterthan1 hashtag, suggesting that the Mi A2 will be better than the Mi A1. We will likely see a Mi A2 Lite alongside the standard variant of the device. We are just over a week away from the expected launch of the Mi A2 but, we might come across some more information about this smartphone in the coming days so stay connected with TECHIN.
