Samsung Galaxy A9 with four rear cameras officially unveiled

Samsung has announced its new Galaxy A9 smartphone, which the company says is the first smartphone to include four rear cameras. The new Galaxy will be aimed at the "Instagram generation" when it goes on sale sometime in mid of November for £549 (Approx Rs. 84,000 in Pakistan).

The rear cameras are arranged vertically on the left hand side, adjacent to the fingerprint reader. Each of the four cameras on the rear of the device serve a different purpose. The first is the devices main 24MP f/1.7 camera, the second is an 8MP f/2.4 camera with an ultra wide 120 degree lens, the third is a telephoto f/2.4 lens with 2x optical zoom backed by a 10 megapixel sensor, and the fourth is a 5 megapixel f/2.2 camera that provides depth of field effects.

The Galaxy A9 has a 6.3 inch full HD AMOLED display that's edge to edge but with narrow bezels on the top and bottom. It's powered by an eight core processor, consisting of a 2.2GHz quad core CPU and a 1.8GHz quad core CPU.

The phone comes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, or 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. The phone also features its Bixby virtual assistant, payment service Samsung Pay and fitness tracker Samsung Health. It will come in three different colors, Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink.

Coming to the software side, the Galaxy A9 offers Android 8.0 Oreo. The phone has a sizeable 3,800mAh battery, which Samsung claims is more than enough to keep the handset running throughout the day.
