Huawei P40 and P40 Pro will be unveiled on March 26 via an online event due to Coronavirus Pandemic threat. Two weeks earlier of Huawei's flagship devices official launch, pricing and availability information has been leaked by a Greek Publisher claiming to obtain the details from a reliable source. The unnamed internal source of the Publisher claims that the vanilla P40 with 128GB storage will be priced at €849 ($955), while the Pro variant with 256GB storage will cost €1,139 ($1,280). The P40 lineup will not have access to Gmail, Maps, YouTube, Photos, Chrome, etc.
The pricing contradicts with the earlier Chinese report that claims that the P40 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost €999 ($1,120), and for €100 ($110) the buyer will get the double storage onboard. The Huawei P40 will unveil along with the recently announced Mate Xs foldable phone which is an upgraded version of Huawei's first foldable device called Mate X. The pricing and availability has not been confirmed by Huawei yet, so it's to wait till March 26 for the official announcement. But Huawei has to come up with competitive pricing considering the fact that both these Smartphones will come without Google Services.
Huawei P40 and P40 Pro will come without Google Services due to the U.S Trade ban. The company is trying hard to attract developers, design and develop Apps for the AppGallery which will be an alternative to the Google Play Store. It is still unclear how the company will cope up with Google Services but according to Huawei CEO, Richard Yu, the company will do much more to make its phone attractive. The Huawei Mate 30 is already available without GMS and it is doing fairly well so we can expect that people will accept the P40 Lineup without GMS too.
