At the end of last year Xiaomi president Lin Bin teased an upcoming phone with a 48MP camera, and today the company has revealed the device officially. Despite the expectations the phone is an entry level smartphone under Redmi Note family called Redmi Note 7.
The phone looks similar to Xiaomi Mi play in terms of design with a circular notch display and dual rear cameras. The Redmi Note 7 is powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage.
Redmi Note 7 boasts a 6.3 inch FHD+ display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 of aspect ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone gets a 2.5D curved glass body.
In the camera department the phone has got a 48MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup. While on the front it houses a 13MP AI camera housed inside the notch.
The phone runs on Android Oreo based on MIUI 10, the phone is fuelled by a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support. It is currently available only in China but expected to get a worldwide release soon.
