Galaxy Fold’s breaking display is not easy to fix, Claims iFixit

Samsung’s almost $2,000 (Approx Rs. 280,000 in PKR) Galaxy Fold could still be one of the most creative devices that come to the market in recent years. The device was originally slated to hit the stores on 26th of April.

First few reviewers reported that their Galaxy Fold units broke after just two days of use, that prompted the company to announce that it was delaying the phone's release date.

iFixit, a website that is focused on phone repairs and known for its technical teardowns, published a teardown of the Galaxy Fold and described it as alarmingly fragile.

iFixit’s teardown actually confirms the ingress of small particles that caused the display to misbehave and that was caused either by removing the protective film or by some kind of design flaw in the Galaxy Fold.

On Thursday iFixit published a blog saying that it had taken down its teardown piece after two days of intense public interest. Samsung has asked iFixit to remove that post.

iFlix refused to take down the post but said in today's post that "Our team appreciated the chance to look inside this ambitious device. All new products face challenges this one perhaps more than most."
