All companies are gearing up to introduce their Flagship devices for this year. Huawei is also set to unveil its premium P40 lineup which will be the successor of previous year's P30 lineup. Reports suggest that the Chinese smartphone giant will introduce three devices under P40 lineup, namely: Huawei P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro Premium. The smartphones will bring some high end specifications but still the company will introduce them with lower price tags as compared to the P30 lineup. The reason for the price drop is that Huawei is not including Google Services in their new flagship devices due to the US Trade ban.
A renowned leakster has tweeted about the price drop. The Huawei P30 Pro cost €1,000 last year, while the P30 cost €800. According to him, Huawei P40 will cost around €600 and P40 Pro will cost €800. While the most premium device in Huawei P40 lineup called Huawei P40 Pro Premium will come with a price tag of €1,000. The specifications of the devices have not been officially revealed yet except for the fact that he Premium variant will come with 10x optical zoom. The Huawei Pro P40 will come with 5x zoom and the vanilla variant with 3x zoom.
It is advised to this information with a pinch of salt as phones often cost different prices in different regions, so currency conversions are often very rough guesses. The P40 Series will launch sometime in March this year. But it is unclear how the company is going to cope up without Google Apps including the Google Play Store. The company is working day and night to come up with something equivalent to Google Mobile Services (GMS). Let's see if Huawei fans accept the devices without the essential Google Services.
