HMD Global is set to bring a range of new smartphones at MWC 2020 going to held in Barcelona next month. Nokia is still struggling to get its position back as one of the leading smartphone brands in today's world. Sources claim that the company is going to bring three new smartphones along with a Nokia 'original' series phone which was first teased to debut on January 25 but now HMD Global has delayed the launch and going to unveil it along with three other phones at Mobile World Congress.
The Nokia 8.2 5G is rumoured to come with a pOLED or LCD panel and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC that comes with an integrated 5G modem. The smartphone will have 6GB of RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage. A limited edition with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage is also rumoured to arrive. Nokia 8.2 5G will bring a pop up selfie camera with 32MP shooter while on the back it will have a similar camera setup of what we have seen in Nokia 7.2. It will be fuelled by a 3,500mAh battery and will contain a 3.5mm headphone jack. A Physical fingerprint scanner will be present in the device.
The Nokia 5.2 will come with a 6.2 inch LCD display. It will be powered by Snapdragon 632 SoC coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 4GB or 64GB of internal storage. It will have a similar looking camera setup of what we have seen in Nokia 6.2 comprising of a 16MP primary sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor. It will be fuelled by a 3,500mAh battery and will sport a breathing notification light with a wide range of color options similar to Nokia 6.2.
Nokia 1.3 will be an entry level smartphone with basic specifications. It will feature a 6 inch LCD display with water drop notch. In terms of internals, the device will be powered by a MediaTek SoC paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. It will bear a 3D nano-textured design on the back similar to what we have seen in Nokia 2.3. In terms of camera, it will feature a 13MP camera on the back, while on the front there will be a 5MP shooter for selfies.
The HMD Global has already acquired a stall in MWC 2020 Barcelona starting from next month, however it has not confirmed the range of devices it is going to launch at the event. In a related news, HMD Global is also developing a flagship Android Smartphone called Nokia 9.2 that promises to provide a 'great camera' experience. It is going to debut in the first half of this year.
