Microsoft Will Release a Windows Powered Foldable Device In 2019

Microsoft tech blog collaborator Brad Sams says that Project Andromeda is said to become reality in the first half of 2019. The device is going to be just like the foldable Samsung phone that we witnessed  in November. The only major difference is that the Microsoft Andromeda will run on Windows 10 OS.

The Andromeda device will be running more like Microsoft Surface laptops. The dual screen foldable mobile device might come with a larger body and display than what we have witnessed in Samsungs foldable phone because Windows OS has not been quite successful with small pocket size devices.

A patent was recently published online that revealed Microsoft is considering several innovative approaches for Andromeda, including an advanced camera system. While another patent revealed that Andromeda might come with the ability to display 3D representation, the tech is still under development.

We have seen earlier reports of LG, Apple, and Huawei also working on foldable type smartphones which should be coming out within a year or two. Meanwhile considering the number of patents and reports from various concrete sources, it seem like Microsoft is exploring all kinds of new ideas for the Andromeda.
