Lenovo owned company Motorola is working on the next generation of Moto G7 series smartphones that are likely to be launched soon. The phones rumoured to be launched will be the Moto G7, Moto G7 Power, Moto G7 Play and Moto G7 Plus.
The latest leak reveals renders of each of the Moto G7 models that are expected to launch in early 2019. Based on the renders, it seems all the models will get some form of a notch on top of the displays.
The Moto G7 and the Moto G7 Plus could sport a water drop notch, the Moto G7 Play and the Moto G7 Power might feature the original iPhone X style notch. The chin on all the smartphones are a bit on the thicker side with the Motorola branding on it.
On the camera department, the Moto G7 and the Moto G7 Plus are speculated to arrive with dual rear camera setups, aligned horizontally in a circular module. While there will be only one front facing camera on each of the devices.
The Moto G7 Play and the G7 Power, on the other hand, are rumored to come with a single camera setup on the back. There could be a fingerprint scanner placed in the Motorola logo for the Moto G7 Play and the G7 Power.
Based on FCC filings, the Moto G7 will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The phone may also get an Snapdragon 660 chipset and a 6 inch FHD+ display. Meanwhile, the G7 Power could get a massive 5,000mAh battery and a similar Snapdragon 660 chipset. The Moto G7 Play is expected to be the cheapest of the lot, while the G7 Plus will be the most expensive model.
All the devices under the Moto G7 series might come with Android 9 Pie out of the box. All the four Moto G7 series smartphones are expected to launch in the first quarter of 2019.
