Smartphone manufacturers are trying their best in eliminating bezels from the smartphones. Notch seems to be a good idea to house the front camera and other sensors. But now people are bored with the notch too. Oppo introduced a full screen display phone with a sliding mechanism for front camera but slide does not become popular among the masses.
We have recently heard that Samsung will introduce a hole in the Galaxy A8s display where the front facing camera and sensors might be housed. Huawei may not become the first phone maker to release a foldable handset, but it may leave Samsung behind in releasing the first notchless and bezel less phone.
Huawei posted a teaser image of its upcoming handset on Weibo. The image shows a hole near the top left corner of the screen. This cut is likely for the front facing camera. Samsung even showcased its Infinity O display recently, which features a camera cut out in the screen.
It will be interesting to see which smartphone manufacturer pulls off this design the best and how much innovation it will bring to the present phones. Other companies will surely follow the pinhole camera trend sooner.
