Tecno is a subsidiary of Transsion Holdings, the brand has successfully penetrated in the smartphone markets of Asia and Africa due to affordable and attractive smartphone models, equipped with decent hardware and features. The Chinese smartphone brand Tecno has yet again launched a pair of mid range devices with appealing design and specifications. Tecno Camon 15 and Camon 15 Pro are the latest offering by Tecno, both new smartphones pack a quad rear camera setup to take on the other mid range smartphones by Realme and Xiaomi.
In terms of specifications, Tecno Camon 15 features a 6.55 inch HD+ display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution, it has a punch-hole on the upper left corner which houses the selfie camera. While the meatier version, Tecno Camon 15 Pro features a 6.53 inch full HD+ with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, the notchless display offers 91.2% screen to body ratio and 480 nits peak brightness. The Camon 15 Pro has a pop up selfie camera module that hides under display when not in use.
Tecno Camon 15 and Camon 15 Pro runs Android 10 with HiOS 6.1 custom skin on top. Both smartphones are powered by quad-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, the Camon 15 offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the Camon 15 Pro comes equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The internal storage of both devices can be increased via an external MicroSd card of up to 256GB which has a dedicated slot.
In terms of camera and photography, both smartphones sports a quad rear camera setup, Tecno Camon 15 Pro offers 48MP main camera, accompanied by a 5MP ultra wide angle lens, a 2MP tertiary camera, and a QVGA sensor. While the Tecno Camon 15 also features a 48MP main sensor but details about the other three are not available yet. For selfies the Tecno Camon 15 Pro provides a 32MP shooter housed inside a motorized pop up module while the Tecno Camon 15 offers a 16MP punch hole camera.
Tecno Camon 15 is fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery and has a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. While the Tecno Camon 15 Pro draws power from a 4,000mAh battery and also features a rear mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security. The Tecno 15 is being offered in three color options; Shoal Gold, Fascinating Purple and Jade while the Camon 15 Pro gives two color choices; Ice Jadeite and Opal White. Both models will go on sale in India from February 25, and are expected to soon make it to the Pakistani market.
